When our financial services client Carne Group set out to launch their inaugural charity cycling event, Vélocity, they had a bold vision.
40 employees cycling 400km from Cherbourg to Paris, raising vital funds for the ISPCC in Ireland and CASCAID’s efforts for the NSPCC’s Childline services in the UK.
As their brand agency, we were proud to help bring this vision to life.
We developed a visual identity for the event including custom rider jerseys, branded water bottles, flags, and a full suite of promotional materials that captured the energy, determination, and spirit of the challenge. Our goal was to create a bold event identity that echoed the group brand – fostering team spirit among riders while capturing the attention of donors and supporters alike.
The four-day ride, saw cyclists – many of whom hadn’t been on a bike since their teens – tackle the hills of Normandy, take in the historic beaches of Utah and Sword, and navigate the bustling streets of Paris. Throughout the journey, the Vélocity team showed grit, teamwork, and heart, ultimately raising over €83,000 thanks to the generosity of more than 1,000 supporters.
We’re honoured to have played a small part in this powerful initiative – proof that bold branding can help power bold action.
Congratulations to Carne and every rider who made Vélocity a success.
